A Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by training with extensive experience in community-based interventions to promote maternal child health. She led the Nevada Care Program the only comprehensive maternal-child HIV program that has been instrumental in the reduction of mother-to-child HIV transmission in Southern Nevada. She developed and implemented congregation-based interventions that provide health services to people in a local community in Michigan. Ms. Patel has been active member of the HSF team in the development and implementation of 5 NIH awarded grants. She currently leads the expansion of international collaboration at HSF. Her focus is developing evidence-based maternal-child programs globally.
